Koyle Winery
Perched on the slopes of Chile’s Andes Mountains in the Alto Colchagua Valley, Koyle is a family-owned winery that blends tradition, innovation, and a deep respect for nature. Founded in 2006 by the Undurraga family—veterans of Chile’s wine industry with over six generations of experience, Koyle was born from a desire to produce wines that express the purity and potential of their unique terroir. From day one, the focus has been clear: sustainable practices, low intervention, and high-altitude excellence.
What sets Koyle apart is its biodynamic approach to viticulture, which treats the vineyard as a living, self-sustaining ecosystem. Koyle uses natural preparations, lunar cycles, and composting to enrich soil health and strengthen vine resilience. This commitment to harmony with nature is more than just philosophy—it’s the foundation of wines that are vibrant, balanced, and deeply expressive. Their hillside vineyards yield standout reds like Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec, as well as elegant whites including Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
Koyle’s wines have captured the attention of critics around the world. Flagship labels like Koyle Royale, AUMA and Gran Reserva have received top scores from James Suckling, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and Descorchados, consistently praised for their complexity, structure, and aging potential. AUMA, in particular, is a biodynamic icon—a powerful red blend made only in exceptional vintages and aged meticulously before release.
Koyle is named after a small native flower that once grew abundantly on the property, symbolizing the family’s deep connection to the land. Today, that same respect for nature is evident in every part of the winery—from its gravity-flow cellar built into the hillside, to its llama and sheep-grazed cover crops in the vineyard.
Koyle offers a unique blend of scenic beauty, eco-consciousness and world-class winemaking.
