Our Story

We are Francisco and Connie, the husband-and-wife team behind Chile Wine Travel SpA. Francisco was born in Santa Cruz, in the heart of Colchagua Valley, before moving with his family to Maryland, USA, in 1979. After three decades abroad, we returned to Chile and quickly fell in love with the vineyards, the countryside, and the way of life.

From Corporate to Wine Country

Before starting this journey, Francisco worked as a Director of Information Technology, helping companies grow through innovation, while Connie built her career in corporate management. Those experiences shaped the way we operate today—professional, organized, and always focused on people.

How It All Began

The spark for Chile Wine Travel came when Francisco searched online for information about Santa Cruz’s annual wine festival, Vendimia de Santa Cruz, and found nothing. Determined to help, he built the festival’s first website—visiting the municipality and organizers in person to gather details. Within two weeks of launching, the site had more than 20,000 visitors.

That experience showed us something bigger: travelers wanted to explore Chile’s wine regions, but clear, reliable information simply didn’t exist. So, we began creating it—promoting not only wineries, but also lodging, dining, and activities. We were also the first wine tour company in Chile to publish prices and full itineraries online, setting a new standard of transparency and trust.

Growing Enotourism in Chile

Our commitment to openness and information-sharing has helped grow wine tourism across Colchagua and beyond. Over the years, we’ve built strong partnerships with local wineries and businesses, and even helped several wineries open their doors to visitors for the very first time.

Today, Chile Wine Travel designs tailored wine experiences and private transportation services across Chile’s central valleys. We work with discerning travelers, luxury agencies, groups, and corporate teams to create moments that are seamless, genuine, and unforgettable. From intimate tastings at boutique wineries to curated visits at world-renowned estates, every journey is designed with care.

Giving Back

Community is at the heart of what we do. As lifelong animal lovers, we have rescued and adopted dogs and actively support local shelters and sterilization campaigns.
