Clos Apalta Winery
The Clos Apalta Winery was created by the Marnier Lapostolle family from France and the Rabat family from Chile.
The Marnier Lapostolle family, founders and owners of the world-renowned liqueur Grand Marnier, are known for producing spirits and liqueurs but the family has also been involved in wine-making for generations.
The original vines at this winery were brought over from France in the last century which descended from a great French lineage.
Perched on a slope above the horseshoe shaped Apalta Valley, the owners put alot of thought and time into the design and architecture. The massive display of exposed granite in the wine library demonstrates their intentions to connect man and nature, and the tall wood posts in the overlook point stand high to frame visitors views across the Colchagua Valley.
