Maipo Wine Day Tour

Maipo Valley is considered the oldest wine region in Chile and home to some of the country’s most prestigious wines.

A short drive from Santiago, the Maipo Wine Day Tour includes hand picked wineries located in Alto Maipo, a high altitude area which runs along the eastern edge of the Andes Mountains. The main variety planted is Cabernet Sauvignon sprinkled in with Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Begin the day touring Perez Cruz, a family estate boutique winery situated in a privileged area. Following this tour, you’ll continue to Bodega 1883 at the Concha Y Toro winery which dates back to 1883, when Melchor Concha y Toro and his wife, Emiliana Subercaseaux, decided to invest in the prosperous wine business importing French grapes from the Bordeaux region. Bodega 1883 offers some of the best wines along with superb, sustainable, and innovative cuisine.The restaurant is at the backdrop of one of the national wine industry’s most unique historical monuments. The last stop of the day is the El Principal winery, located at the Andes foothills where you will be able to experience their fresh and complex wines including the Icon wine ‘El Principal.’

Itinerary:

9:15AM: Pickup at Hotel in Santiago

10:30AM: Perez Cruz (Limited Tour + Wine Tasting)
Includes a tour of the winery/ cellar and a tasting of 3 wines: CS Gran Reserva +  2 Limited Editions.

1:00PM: Lunch at the Bodega 1883 (Concha Y Toro)

3:30PM: El Principal (Icon Premium Tasting)
Includes a visit to the winery/ barrel room and a tasting of 4 wines: Kiñe (the only Verdejo variety from Chile), Calicanto , Memorias + El Principal Icon

5:30PM: Depart Maipo

6:30PM: Return to hotel in Santiago

–  Cancellations occurring 72 hours prior to your scheduled pickup time will be eligible for a full refund (excluding deposit)

–  Refunds are processed within 15 business days
