Maipo Deluxe Wine Day Tour

Maipo Valley is rich & charming and home to some of the oldest wineries in the region.  Our Maipo Deluxe Wine Tour package is perfect for wine lovers and connoisseurs looking for an unforgettable experience.

The tour begins with a private visit to one of the most recognized vineyards in the world, Concha y Toro where you will experience a rich winemaking heritage at the home of Chile’s first Icon wine. Concha Y Toro dates back to 1883, when Melchor Concha y Toro and his wife, Emiliana Subercaseaux, decided to invest in the prosperous wine business importing French grapes from the Bourdeaux region.
Following the tour, you’ll continue to lunch at Bodega 1883 (Concha Y Toro) run by the renowned chefs of the Áurea restaurant, Ismael Lastra and Tomás Saldivia. Bodega 1883 offers some of the best wines including flights along with superb, sustainable, and innovative cuisine. The restaurant is at the backdrop of one of the national wine industry’s most unique historical monuments. The last stop of the day is the El Principal winery, located at the Andes foothills where you will be able to experience their fresh and complex wines including the Icon wine ‘El Principal.’

Itinerary:

9:00am: Pick up at hotel in Santiago

10:00am: Concha Y Toro (Don Melchor Private Collector’s Experience)
Highlights include:
– An exclusive private tour tailored to your group
– A stroll through the gardens of the founder’s summer house
– A tour of the rooms of the Don Melchor mansion
– A tasting of 5 glasses: 3 from the exclusive Don Melchor parcels, the fourth glass is a blend of the three parcels and the fifth tasting is the current vintage of Don Melchor.
– A visit to the Don Melchor Collection Room

1:00pm: Lunch at the Bodega 1883 (Concha Y Toro)

3:30pm: El Principal (Icon Premium Tasting)
Includes a visit to the winery/ barrel room and a tasting of 4 wines: Kiñe (the only Verdejo variety from Chile), Calicanto , Memorias + El Principal Icon

4:30pm: Depart Maipo

5:30pm: Return to hotel in Santiago

–  Cancellations occurring 72 hours prior to your scheduled pickup time will be eligible for a full refund (excluding deposit)
