Colchagua ICON Wine and Lunch at Fuegos de Apalta

This full-day tour covers three of Colchagua’s best wineries, with lunch in between. It starts at Clos Apalta, a gravity-flow winery known for its architecture and its 100-point wines.

Lunch is at Fuegos de Apalta, Francis Mallmann’s open-fire restaurant set in the Montes vineyards, where the cooking is built around fire and seasonal ingredients.

The day ends at Montes, tasting their top labels in the winery’s barrel room, where Gregorian chants play softly through the cellar.

NOTE: This tour is available Tuesday through Sunday.

ITINERARY

8:00AM: Pick-up at hotel in Santiago

10:30AM: Clos Apalta Private Wine Tour and Tasting
— A private 90-minute tour through the 7-story gravity-flow winery, family cellar, and vineyard
— Visit ends with a guided tasting of 4 wines: Prelude 2022, Le Petit Clos 2021, Clos Apalta 2021 & Clos Apalta 2012.

1:00PM: Lunch at Fuegos de Apalta (Montes Vineyard)
— Francis Mallmann’s signature fire-cooked meats, fish, and seasonal produce in a vineyard setting.
— 3 course lunch with wine pairing (select from a la carte menu)

3:30PM: Montes ICON Wine Tour and Tasting
— Explore the vineyard and barrel room with enchanting Gregorian music
— A guided tasting of 4 wines: 2 Montes Alpha, 1 Outer Limits, 1 ICON

5:00PM: Depart Colchagua

7:30PM: Return to hotel in Santiago
