Las Niñas Winery
Las Niñas Winery is a vibrant fusion of French elegance and South American vitality. Founded in 1996 by three French families drawn to the untouched beauty of this remote corner of Colchagua, the winery’s name Las Niñas (the girls) pays tribute to the daughters of the original founders, symbolizing both heritage and a fresh, feminine energy. From the beginning, Las Niñas has stood out for its creative spirit and commitment to sustainability.
The winery is located on a sprawling 160-hectare estate surrounded by native forests and rolling hills. From this privileged setting, Las Niñas crafts expressive wines using organically farmed grapes, with a focus on Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Their organic certification underscores a deep respect for the environment, and each vintage is a reflection of careful stewardship and a hands-on, artisanal approach.
Las Niñas wines are known for their bold character, finesse, and freshness. Standout labels include Las Niñas Carmenère Reserva, beloved for its silky tannins and black fruit notes and Las Niñas Syrah, which showcases spicy depth and a mineral backbone. The winery has earned praise from Descorchados, Wine Spectator and Tim Atkin, putting it firmly on the map as a boutique producer with international appeal.
The estate was once a sheep farm before being transformed into vineyards and visitors today may still spot the occasional grazing animal among the vines, part of the estate’s organic farming practices. The winery’s artistic touch extends beyond the bottle, too, with a charming, design-forward tasting room and events that blend wine, music, and local culture.
